I wanna drink - Mick Farren July is always a good month as it always hosts Chelmsford best event of the year. The Beer Festival, it’s a great social event, over 350 different beers, a little bit of music and just a good time. I have picked Mick Farrens “I Wanna Drink” to celebrate this homage to the hop. A good song with Wilko Johnson and Larry Wallis supporting the ex Deviant. You can get it on “Goodbye Nashville hello Camden Town” a pub rock anthology. Duncan July 2011

Gotta Get Away - Stiff Little Fingers It’s holiday time again and I am off soon. So I have picked some Northern Irish punk from the fantastic Stiff Little Fingers. I know it’s a song about getting away from drudgery and the life in 70’s Belfast, but I will be humming it to my self as I leave leafy Essex and set off for an all inclusive binge of beer and Mahitas. Duncan, July 2011

I drink Alone - George Thorogood and the Destroyers Not only is this a great track in my humble opinion you can forget Queen, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran etc the highlight of Band Aid was George Thorogood. It was a toss up between this track and One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer in honour of the forthcoming Chelmsford Beer Festival but I opted for this as Automatic Slim play a good version of this and they are playing the Kelvedon Free Music Fesitval on 9th July. Rock on Tim. Colin July 2011

Sea and Sand - The Who Probley the best album the Who recorded and an iconic film, nice to see a young Leslie Ash without a trout pout being taken up a dark alley. Although this album is littered with great tracks 5:15, Real Me, Dr Jimmy I think this is my favourite show casing Daltry's range, and he's a Gooner. Colin July 2011

Down on Terminal Street - Be Bop Deluxe I knew I shouldn't have mentioned Gooners it's only gone and depressed me since moving from Avenal Road we have moved to Terminal Street, still who needs Nasri, Fabregas, Clichy when we have managed to keep Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner. Keep the faith I'm sure there is a master plan for us to take over the world. 'In Arsene we trust' Colin July 2011

Good Morning Little School Girl - Ten Years After Ten months and counting. Colin July 2011

Dream Weaver – Gary Wright Going back to 1975 with Gary Wright and the title track from the LP Dream Weaver, one of those good old songs that was played on Radio Caroline. Reminds me of escaping lifes everyday worries and stress, a bit like going on holiday to get away from it all. “I've just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the dream weaver train Driver take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind” Soon be my turn to close my eyes and get on that dream weaver train. Maurice July 2011.
